York attraction to have it’s grand opening this weekend – with special guests and goodie bag giveaways.
The Puzzling World of Professor Kettlestring, located on Merchantgate, is bringing a mind-boggling experience to York.
After a soft launch in January, the new attraction is now ready to officially open its doors on Saturday 8 February 2025 – with a whole day packed with fun, surprises and jaw-dropping illusions.
YorkMix will be there broadcasting live and adding to the excitement, as well as special guest York pantomime legend Martin Barrass.
Barrass, who has been a staple of the local pantomime scene for over 30 years and is currently appearing in The Archers on BBC Radio 4, will cut the ribbon at 10am to mark the official opening.
The first 50 guests through the door will receive an exclusive goodie bag packed with surprises, worth up to £35.

From rooms where gravity seems to break the rules, to quirky optical illusions that twist your perception, there’s fun around every corner.
The Puzzling World of Professor Kettlestring is a family-run venture brought to life by Matthew and Marianne Tritton-Hughes.

The attraction will be welcoming visitors on a first-come, first-served basis from 10am. From 11am, visitors can secure their entry by booking tickets in advance online, which will ensure you a guaranteed time slot for your visit.
