Strictly winner and comedian Chris McCausland is at the Grand Opera House, the huge Yorkshire Agricultural Machinery Show is back, family favourite Beauty and the Beast is at Joseph Rowntree Theatre, and the Rock Orchestra are performing by candlelight at York Barbican.

Beauty and the Beast

The classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed into his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity. This “tale as old as time” is filled with the classic songs that you know and love, so please “be our guest” and join us for this family favourite.

Chris McCausland returns to York with his masterclass in stand-up comedy that has literally been yonks in the making. You might have seen him on Strictly Come Dancing, Would I Lie to You, Have I Got News for You, The Royal Variety, QI, Blankety Blank, The Last Leg, and tons more as well. He’s been called an “overnight success” – Even though he’s been doing this for bloody yonks!

The Rock Orchestra by Candlelight

Yorkshire Agricultural Machinery Show

The Show is the largest one day free to attend Machinery and Technology event in the north of England, attracting over 10,000 visitors every year with more than 200 trade stands. It has good access, free parking, free entry, good food, great atmosphere, friendly familiar faces from local dealerships and a huge array of all the latest machinery and equipment for agriculture, horticulture, ground care and forestry.
