A stretch of York outer ring road will close tonight for roadworks (Tuesday).
The section of the A1237 between the Shipton Road and Great North Way roundabouts will shut from 8pm-6am for two nights
It will reopen fully at 6am on Thursday (4 June).
It’s so City of York Council can carry out highway maintenance.
The council says: “Traffic signs and barriers will indicate the extent of the prohibition.
“An alternative route for diverted vehicles will be signed during the works period via Shipton Road, Water End and Boroughbridge Road.”
