A York store has started a closing down sale, as it prepares to relocate.
Go Outdoors will begin a 30% off sale across all departments at its Foss Bank shop, before it closes down and relocates to an undisclosed location next year.
As YorkMix revealed in March, it is heading out-of-town, after failing to find a new city centre location.
It is moving out of Foss Bank after its lease expired and “the landlord has indicated that the premises is no longer available them”.
The store will move to a “bigger and better location in 2023”, a spokesperson said.
“The refreshed store will add to the vast estate of Go Outdoors stores across the UK and will offer new and exciting departments and extras to its customers for years to come.”
Store manager Rob Lumley-Holmes is looking forward to the update. He said: “It’s really exciting to be getting this modern new store.
“Our customers will continue to benefit from a very knowledgeable team offering services such as boot and rucksack fitting, in a store with loads of added extras.
“Until our new one is ready, we will continue to serve our community in the current location and the closing down sale will offer brilliant value for everyone.”
The sale has begun and savings are available across clothing, footwear, camping, equipment, accessories and more.
