A rugby club in York has launched brand new kits ahead of the start of the new season.
York RI RUFC, who prides itself on being “one of the North’s most diverse and inclusive rugby clubs” has showcased the strip for its Mini’s, Men’s, Ladies and Inclusive
teams.
The club received a massive boost after securing a main kit sponsorship deal with York-based construction company, Yorvik Builders, as well as club-wide support from Parlormade Cafe and Scone House.
Andy McCarthy, chairman of York RI RUFC, spoke of his excitement at the kit launch saying: “Over the last few years we have made huge steps forward in the evolution towards becoming a more modern, forward-thinking and inclusive club; true to our motto – one club for everyone.
“It was important that we all shared a common identity and kit is central to that. We chose a supplier who could cater for all our players from the minis to the senior teams.
“We’ve kept a similar theme throughout the club, all sharing the blue and white, but each with subtle differences to reflect the diversity with have in the club.
“This could not be possible without the generosity of our sponsors, most notably Darren from YBL who has sponsored all three of the new adult kits.
“The players will wear these jerseys with pride as they get back to competing and making new memories on the pitch, here’s to many successes for all who wear them!”
Speaking about the new partnership director of Yorvik Builders, Darren Allanson, said “We are really looking forward to working with York RI RUFC, as we share their passion for inclusivity & diversity in grassroots sport in York.”
As well as the club-wide sponsorship from YBL and Parlormade Cafe and Scone house, the teams are also sponsored by: PJR Building and Joinery Contractors, United by Design & York RI Survivors (men’s); Prism Training & Consultancy & Darley Funeral Directors, The York RI Templars, The Bay Horse, Blossom Street (ladies).
