The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for heavy rain in York and North Yorkshire.
It covers all of tomorrow – Thursday 17th November – from midnight tonight, and also covers Manchester, much of the Midlands, and as far north as Newcastle.
This is what the Met Office say we should expect:
- There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings
- Spray and flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures
- Should flooding occur, delays or cancellations to train and bus services are likely
- There is a small chance that some communities may be temporarily cut off by flooded roads
