A woman suffered serious injuries in the crash in York this morning (Thursday).
YorkMix reported that the pedestrian had been taken to hospital after the collision, which happened shortly before 11am on Skeldergate.
Now police have revealed more details as they appealed for witnesses to come forward.

Crash location
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “It happened on Skeldergate, at the junction with Micklegate, when a pedestrian was struck by a silver Toyota Corolla car as she was crossing the road.
“The woman suffered serious injuries and is receiving treatment in hospital.
“The man who was driving the car is assisting officers with their enquiries.”
The Toyota was an Uber registered with Leeds City Council. The junction was closed for a time to allow paramedics to treat the casualty.
Police want to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or has relevant dashcam footage.
