Five men and one woman have now been arrested by police investigating the stabbing of a teenager in York.
Officers are carrying out house-to-house enquiries and patrols in the area as the enquiry continues.
It follows the stabbing of a 16-year-old boy on Baker Street last night (Thursday).

He remains in a serious but stable condition in hospital.
The five men arrested are aged 42, 40, 37, 30 and 23. The arrested woman is 41. All are in custody on suspicion of wounding with intent.

Chief Inspector Ryan Chapman, York Neighbourhood Policing Team Commander, said: “I know people will be shocked when they hear about what happened last night.
“I hope they will be reassured that we have arrested a number of suspects in connection with the incident, all of whom remain in custody while our investigation continues.


“As part of our ongoing enquiries, extra officers will be in the Clifton area today and throughout the weekend.
“They will be conducting house-to-house enquiries, and providing high-visibility reassurance to the community.
