The victim of a stabbing in York was a boy of 16, the police revealed in an update this morning (Friday).
He is in a serious but stable condition in hospital.
Officers have made two arrests in connection with the incident.
Baker Street, York
As YorkMix reported last night, officers were called to reports of a male being stabbed on Baker Street in Clifton at about 7.30pm.
The victim was rushed to hospital with serious injuries.



In an update today, a North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Two men have been arrested in connection with a stabbing in York.
“Overnight, officers arrested a 30-year-old man and a 40-year-old man on suspicion of wounding with intent. They are in custody at this time.
“The arrests are in connection with an incident on Baker Street, Clifton, at about 7.30pm on Thursday evening.



“The victim, a 16-year-old boy, was taken to hospital, where he is in a serious but stable condition.”

Baker Street has been sealed off while police continue their investigation.
The force spokesperson said: “Enquiries continue today, with officers conducting house-to-house enquiries in the area.
“We understand this is an extremely concerning incident, and extra police patrols have been put in place to provide reassurance to the local community.”
