Easter may still be in our rear view mirror but one of North Yorkshire’s biggest visitor attractions is already planning for Christmas.
Castle Howard has created spellbinding Christmas experiences in recent years – including a Narnia fantasy world in 2021 and last year’s fairytale-themed Into The Woods which won an award only this week.
And today, we can exclusively reveal the theme of its 2023 festive extravaganza.
Take the second star to the right, and straight on to Castle Howard – for Christmas in Neverland!
It will run from 11 November to 2 January at the famous North Yorkshire stately home.
A Castle Howard spokesperson described their Peter Pan-themed event as “a Christmas experience like no other”:
“Fly into the adventure of a lifetime bursting with fairies, mermaids, and pirates.
“Vast ships will cruise into our great galleries, Lost Boy-laughter will echo through our halls, and our beautiful rooms will transform into tropical lagoons.
“Follow the boy that never grew up into a fantastical festive world that will re-ignite your belief in fairies and leave your heart full.”

CLW Event Design, the creative team behind Christmas in Narnia and Into the Woods: A Fairytale Christmas, are again behind this year’s adventure.
They promise “beautiful theatrical installations, stunning projections and immersive soundscapes bringing JM Barrie’s much-loved story and characters to life”.
Also part of the Christmas at Castle Howard experience this year’s are the Bauble Emporium selling unique mementoes, Mrs Darling’s Afternoon Tea and toasted marshmallows in the twinkly Courtyard.
And the Castle Howard spokesperson added: “We’re thrilled to be collaborating with Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital, our charity partner for Christmas 2023.”
