Music stars Chase & Status booked for ‘intimate’ York gig

Hit makers Chase & Status usually perform to sold out arenas like the Glasgow O2 Academy or Alexandra Palace in London.

But for one night only the dance duo bring their DJ set to York.

It will be a special, intimate show, say organisers Shoko, who stage club nights at Fibbers.

Mobo Award leaders

Soon after their York gig Chase & Status – comprising Saul Milton (Chase) and Will Kennard (Status) – will open the 21st MOBO Awards in Glasgow.

That takes place on November 4, and later the same month they will set off on an arena tour which takes in Newcastle, Birmingham and London.

Both a dance act and a drum & bass / dubstep production duo, Chase & Status have scored four UK chart top ten hits as lead artists, including Blind Faith and Count On Me.

Their second studio album No More Idols (2011) went double platinum and reached #2 in the UK charts, the same position reached by 2013 album Brand New Machine.

The pair have worked with many famous recording artists, including Plan B, Cee Lo Green, Rihanna, Example and Tinie Tempah.
