They have been joined by Piglets Adventure Farm on Towthorpe Moor Lane.
“We are really sorry that due to Storm Darragh’s severe weather warnings, we have made the difficult decision to close our farm park and the Magical Sleigh Rides event on Saturday,” a post on Piglets’ social media states.
Museum Gardens in York are also shut today as the team there are “concerned about falling trees and debris”.
Clifford’s Tower is shut all weekend “due to high winds forecast above our safe operating level”. The city walls are also closed.
Yorkshire’s Winter Wonderland at the designer outlet was open in the morning. But the ice rink closed at 1pm, although the Santa’s Grotto stayed open.
Castle Howard is open but the boathouse, Skelf Island adventure playground and woodland areas are shut.
