Update 1.15pm: Following publication of our story a man phoned YorkMix to claim he was the person in the picture.
The man, who did not want his details disclosed, said he had contacted York police and would cooperate with their inquiries.
The police told us they will be talking to him in due course.

This is the man police want to talk to about an incident of racial abuse outside a York nightclub.
At about 3am on Saturday, November 21, a man caused a disturbance in Kuda in Clifford Street, by behaving aggressively towards other club-goers.
He was ejected by door staff but attempted to re-enter the premises, while racially abusing the door staff who prevented him from doing so.
Despite extensive police enquiries, the man involved has not yet been identified.

Police would like to speak to the man pictured on CCTV, as he may have important information that could assist the investigation into the incident.
