Chocolate lovers rejoice – Knoops is now open in York!
The chocolate drink retailer opened today (Friday), a little later than first hoped. The café and takeaway is now ready to serve up ‘expertly crafted chocolate drinks’ to the city.
It’s located at 22-23 Parliament Street, in the former Boots Opticians store.
The concept, according to the Knoops website, “is based around our carefully curated percentage menu which offers chocolates to suit every taste and mood.
“This process is simple; choose your chocolate %, milk, and extra flavours like sea salt, orange zest or chilli to be made into a hot chocolate, milkshake or iced chocolate.”
Iced chocolate drinks start from £3.95, with milkshakes starting from £5.15.
There are also special seasonal flavours for Christmas too like a Festive Spice Milk Hot Chocolate (from £4.95) and Mint Milk Chocolate Milkshake (from £5.85).
Alongside the decadent chocolate offering there are also coffee and mocha options.
Inside there are a few seats and stools, but everything is available to takeaway.
Founder Jens Knoop opened the first Knoops store in Rye, East Sussex, in 2013 – after a lifelong passion for chocolate which started in his childhood in rural Germany.
Now York can share in that passion too.
