Breakfast presenters Ben and Laura will be on hand from 10am at St Mary’s Gates on Kirkgate with music from local singers, competitions, games and more.
Organiser David Gluck spoke with YorkMix Radio presenter Victoria Charles to spill the beans on the family-friendly day out.
“It’s the first big event since March of last year and Covid,” David said. “We’ve got so much going on all day long in the town centre.
“We’re really hoping people take advantage of that and discover what a lovely little place Tadcaster is.
“We regularly put on a skatepark – we’ve got a fantastic set up. The kids use our equipment or they can bring their own scooters, bikes or skateboards.

“The new youth cafe, which we’re calling ‘Hangout’, is something that we’ll be launching – that will then take place through the week after school for someplace that [kids] can come to and literally hang out get a coffee, get a slice of pizza in a safe environment.
“We’ve got a children’s entertainer who does some fantastic magic acts.”
The artisan market will feature everything from cakes to jewellery to gin, and confirmed traders include The Yorkshire Beeswax Candle Company, Little Clay Shop, Willow’s Bakes, The Ribble Valley Gin Company, Taylor Jewellery – and many more!
York-favourites the New York Brass Band will also be performing up and down the cobbles from 2pm – they will definitely be worth a listen.
It’s looking like a fantastic day for all the family.
