Fire crews were called out to another fire started deliberately in Acomb, York last night.
They were called to the Westfield area at 7.51pm.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “A crew from Acomb responded to a small fire in a wooded area that was deliberately started.
“Crews extinguished the fire using water buckets and beaters.”
It is the latest of a series of deliberate fires in the Acomb area. Firefighters were called twice to fires in woodland off Grange Lane last night.
Elsewhere, police were stepping up patrols in Tang Hall in March after a series of arson attacks, including at Hull Road Park.
