All aboard the Light Spectacular as it gears up for an illuminated half-term adventure.
The North Yorkshire Moors Railway (NYMR) will be lit up by 17,000 LEDs as the heritage railway welcomes passengers onboard for an audio and visual sensory experience.
The Light Spectacular will depart from Pickering Station for Levisham Station every evening at 6pm and 7.45pm, from the 23 to 31 October.

Billed as a ‘one-of-a-kind experience’, visitors to the Light Spectacular will be immersed in colour, light and sound from beginning to end.
Tickets will include a flashing wristband for passengers to wear, which will synchronise with the on-board narration and music.
Music will be a mix of famous hits from the 60s right up to present day tunes – so the whole family can get into the party spirit!

A sensory experience
Chris Price, NYMR general manager, said: “The team has been working really hard behind the scenes collaborating with an immersive sensory company to create a unique journey for passengers.
“We can’t wait to witness the first Light Spectacular express depart from Pickering Station – it will be something very special.”
Tickets for the Light Spectacular are £25 per person, and are available via the NYMR website. The journey will be an hour long, between Pickering and Lewisham Station.
Specially discounted rates for groups of 20 people or more are also available.
