Danny Malin from Rate My Takeaway

A foodie YouTuber seems to have found York’s best burger.

Danny Malin, from the YouTube channel Rate My Takeaway, made a recent trip to York – to visit The Taylor Made Kitchen on Shambles Market.

The channel, which has 581,000 subscribers, is a ‘video guide to finding the best places to eat from local business in your area’, with Danny on a mission to find the best and worst takeaways.

Danny has been to York a few times, but The Taylor Made Kitchen had always been shut on his previous visits. But now was his chance…

The Taylor Made Kitchen is an independent food truck owned by Christian Taylor, and serves up burgers, loaded fries, burritos and more. It’s also our readers’ most recommended place for a burger – and it seems like Danny agrees with them!

In the video, Danny orders a Reuben burger, Parmo fries and Katsu fries.

The YouTuber was very popular with the people of York, as fans and passersby kept coming up to him throughout the video for chats and pictures.

When the food arrived, he was shocked by the “massive” portion sizes and said that they were “value for money – absolutely bang on”.

“Wow,” said Danny, upon trying the burger. “After tasting that, the flavours that have come out of that – it is so far for me York’s best burger place. It’s a solid 10 from me.

“If you’ve not been, come down and try it out.”
