Firefighters were called to a fire started by youths at a York nature reserve last night (Friday).
The call to Clifton Backies came in at 5.50pm.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “A crew from Acomb responded to reports of a fire in the open.

“This was a small fire set by youths, measuring one metre by one metre.
“Crews used two knapsack sprayers and one beater to extinguish the fire.”
