Two young people were left with facial injuries after they were violently attacked as they sat in their car in York.
The incident happened on Fishergate loop, near to the junction of Piccadilly, at around 3.15pm on Friday (19 June).
Two men got out of a silver Citroen Picasso taxi and threw a bottle at the passenger side window of a white Audi A5.
As a result, both the woman driver of the Audi and the male passenger received multiple cuts to their faces, from the broken glass.
Both are aged 21 and from York. The driver had to go to York Hospital for treatment.
The men who got out of the taxi are described as white men in their mid twenties.
A black Ford Mondeo was behind the man when the bottle was thrown at the Audi and CCTV footage shows three women and one man witnessing the incident taking place on the Piccadilly side of the road.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “Were you the driver of the black Ford Mondeo that one of the offenders stood in front of to throw the bottle?
