There’s an all-new way to experience a festive tipple in York from this weekend.
You can enjoy a drink on the River Ouse – as a Boat Bar launches for the festive season this weekend.
The bar, from City Cruises, will be situated at Lendal Bridge Landing from Friday 24 November to Saturday 23 December, from 12pm to 8pm. It will coincide with York’s Christmas Market.
The unique and stationary boat has been designed to offer a cosy and festive atmosphere – where visitors can enjoy a wide range of drinks from wine, beer, spirits, and hot beverages as well as non-alcoholic options.
The boat – which is called the River Palace – will be decorated for the festive season, and offers a warm picturesque option for visitors wanting to escape the cold or the busy market.
The boat is primarily for walk-ups, however there is the option to book out the whole boat. Pricing for the Boat Bar starts from £350 for groups, and could be the perfect setting for corporate pre-drink events before Christmas parties.
The time slot is guaranteed for 90 minutes and these bookings include a £100 bar tab or boarding drinks, and additional bar snacks.
