York’s answer to Oktoberfest is making a return this autumn.
The popular Bavarian beer festival is making a comeback to the Clocktower Enclosure at York Racecourse for a fourth successive year – complete with a giant beer tent and live entertainment.
Yorktoberfest will take place on Friday 18 – Saturday 19 and Friday 25 – Saturday 26 October 2024.

Tickets for the festival are available from today (Friday).
The giant marquee will be transformed into a Bavarian festival scene – with rows of tables and benches, a performance stage, wooden beer barrels, rustic carts, and more.
Brew York will supply the range of beers at the Bavarian Bar, with wines, prosecco, spirits and soft drinks also available.
Returning for 2024 is the internationally-acclaimed seven-piece live band, the Bavarian Strollers – who will perform thigh-slapping, foot-stomping oompah tunes as well as feel-good disco classics.
Adding to the party will be international drag artist Velma Celli – who will once again be wowing audiences with her powerhouse vocals and outrageous humour. Velma takes the drag concept to whole new dizzy heights according to her alter-ego Ian Stroughair, a well-known name on the West End stage in his own right.
The wearing of Lederhosen, Dirndls, or any other fancy dress is highly encouraged – with nightly competitions and prizes for the best dressed.
Yorktoberfest is produced by Jamboree Entertainment.
Event organiser James Cundall, CEO of Jamboree Entertainment, said, “We are thrilled that Yorktoberfest has become so popular since its debut in 2021 and once again it promises evenings of hearty fun, with beer, a band and bratwurst, not to mention a sensational drag queen.
“We’ll be announcing additional live entertainment in due course, so it’s time to get your friends together and start planning the party!”
Tickets for Yorktoberfest are now on sale, and available here. Prices are £23 per person for standard and £33 for VIP, with an automatic early bird discount of £5 per ticket if booked before 30 June.
