It’s been announced that festive favourite Yorkshire’s Winter Wonderland will be returning to York Designer Outlet for 2023.
This year marks the Christmas attraction’s 18th season in York.
The popular outdoor ice rink, funfair and Santa’s Grotto will be open from Friday 17 November 2023 to Sunday 7 January 2024.

The outdoor ice rink – the largest in the North of England at 975 sq m – will once again feature at 30ft high Christmas tree as its centrepiece. It will be surrounded by log cabins, the rink side cafe and a viewing platform, and is a great festive experience for all ages.
The funfair will be bigger and better this year, with new rides including the Twist and Waltzer alongside family favourite vintage Dodgems, which date from 1937.
There’ll be plenty to entertain the younger visitors too with children’s rides and game stalls.
Also new to Yorkshire’s Winter Wonderland this year is a terrace overlooking the ice rink, for those visiting The Chalet cafe. Inside the cosy alpine-themed café, tasty winter-warming food and drinks as well as sweet treats will be available.
There will also be refreshments available from The Dog Haus cabin or enjoy a picnic in the heated and covered Winter Garden.

“We will also have some fun new decorations and theming around the event, making it the perfect place for the festive selfie!”

Christmas would not be the same without a visit to Santa and his elves, and this year visitors can enjoy an extended snowy woodland walk to his cosy log cabin grotto where a warm welcome and a special gift for children awaits.
Tickets to visit Santa are £6 per child (including gift) with a £1.50 family booking fee. A reservation is required to visit Santa but can be made on the day, subject to availability.

For many families the event has become a fixture in their festive calendar with fun outdoor activities for all ages to enjoy, as well as the opportunity to tick off the Christmas shopping list!”
Tickets for a one-hour skating session at The Ice Factor are priced at £14.50 for adults and £13.50 for children and concessions. Family packages are available for families of three, four or five.
Booking is recommended for skating at The Ice Factor, and an Early Bird discount of 10% off these prices is available now until 30th September, by using the code EARLYBIRD10 at checkout.
