Yorkshire’s ‘own’ Forever Tenors to open the Castle Howard Proms
Castle Howard Proms continues to be one of the favourite events in Yorkshire’s social calendar.
This year the event is due to take place on Saturday 21 August 2021 (rescheduled from August 2020) and is once again set in the magnificent gardens of Castle Howard.
This spectacular classical concert is always a night to remember for the whole family and includes a Spitfire flyover, stunning lasers and a spectacular firework finale.
Castle Howard Proms is now delighted to announce it has also just added another new exciting opening act to the concert – ‘Forever Tenors’.
Hailing from the heart of Yorkshire, Forever Tenors is an exciting new classical crossover duo featuring two best friends and outstanding male vocalists Adam Lacey and Rob Durkin.
Together they bring a totally unique and fresh approach to the classical world by fusing a range of musical styles from pop, rock and classical, which they combine with their breath-taking vocals, their own musical arrangements and the package is completed by their infectious Yorkshire charm.

Rob Durkin from Forever Tenors comments: “We can’t wait to be back on stage performing in front of a ‘real life’ audience and to get the opportunity to do this in such a beautiful setting on our home turf. It’s going to be a really special night and we are honoured to open the show.”
The two very special guest soloists headlining the concert will be best-selling tenor Wynne Evans, an incredibly popular live performer and perhaps best known for his decade in the recurring role as Gio Compario in a series of TV adverts.
Wynne will be joined by soprano, Victoria Joyce, who is without a doubt one of the UK’s most exciting performers and has starred in many prestigious opera productions.
The rousing musical accompaniment to the evening will be provided by the London Gala Orchestra under the baton of Stephen Bell and the programme will include popular classics, songs from musicals and all your flag waving favourites from the Proms including Jerusalem, Rule Britannia and Pomp & Circumstance No.1.
