More than 100 volunteers who help to keep our city on track were thanked for their contribution at an event at the Guildhall.
From snow wardens to school governors and health walk leaders, the volunteers devote countless hours of their time to projects run by City of York Council.
Council leader James Alexander thanked them for their contribution at the event on Wednesday, June 25, and presented them with certificates to recognise their efforts and achievements.
“In York, we’re committed to building on our amazing bedrock of volunteers whose work contributes so much to the life of our communities,” said Councillor Linsay Cunningham-Cross, cabinet member for health and community engagement.
