Police made a direct appeal to York’s most wanted today: ‘Do the right thing and hand yourselves in.’
Despite a major search, Joshua Anthony Strickland, 29, and Robinson Peter Fitch Binks, 26, remain on the run.
Armed officers, backed up by police dogs and the police helicopter, targeted several streets in York yesterday (Sunday) in their hunt for the two men.
Today, they remain at large.
They are wanted in connection with a suspected corrosive substance attack at around 12.30am on Friday at a house on Fossway.
It left a local man, aged in his 30s, in hospital with serious burn injuries over his back.
Police say Binks and Strickland should give themselves up “or face the full consequences of their actions.
“This also goes for the people who have been helping them evade arrest.”
Direct appeal

In a direct appeal today, North Yorkshire Police said: “Joshua and Robinson, if you see or hear this appeal, it’s time to do the right thing and hand yourselves into the police.
“As every hour passes, you are only making it harder for yourselves.
“Also, anyone suspected of helping you to evade arrest will also be arrested and face prosecution.”
As part of intensive police searches and enquiries, a 41-year-old was arrested in connection with the incident on Friday morning and released on conditional bail.

During the active search for Strickland and Binks, a 43-year-old woman was arrested on Sunday evening and a 54-year-old man was arrested this afternoon (Monday).
They are being held in custody for questioning while enquiries continue.
We reported yesterday that police had swooped on both Stockton Lane and Dodsworth Avenue as part of their search for the men.
