YorkMix are proud to announce a media partnership with a York children’s charity.
OSCAR’s Paediatric Brain Tumour Charity supports and cares for children facing brain tumours, and their families.
It aims to raise awareness of children’s brain tumours and to fund new research to drive down diagnosis time, increase survival rate and improve children’s quality of life during and after treatment.
The charity was set up in memory of nine-year-old Oscar Hughes, who died from a brain tumour in 2014, and exists to serve any child, anywhere who has to deal with life with a brain tumour.
We at YorkMix are thrilled to be supporting this incredible charity this year.
YorkMix‘s Laura Castle, said: “YorkMix is proud to be supporting OSCAR’s – we have been witness to some of the amazing fundraising that the team do at various events and really wanted to help support and promote these events so that more funds can be raised to keep the fantastic work that OSCAR’s do going.
“This is going to be a very exciting year for the charity and we’re looking forward to being a part of that!”
Charity manager Phil Martinez, added, “We are proud to have YorkMix as a charity partner: their energy and enthusiasm to support others, their kindness, their drive to raise awareness of the work of OSCAR’s…and of course the fact we both love bright orange, means this should be a fantastic mix to support children in York and the surrounding areas and beyond.”
