They certainly make you look twice!
These ‘vulva doughnuts’ have been on sale at a popular York shop – and have been a social media hit.
And they became so popular, they made it onto Channel 4 show Steph’s Packed Lunch.
Owner of Doe Bakehouse on Church Street, Evie Jackson, saw a gap in the market for the “vulva-nuts”.
The idea came from a customer who wanted the female equivalent of the ever-popular penis-shaped donuts to celebrate her daughter coming out.
Lots of people loved the idea. But not one York resident.
On the bakery’s Instagram channel, the 28-year-old business owner shared an email she received from the disgruntled Yorkie called Angie, who said they were “Not exactly something you would expect in the York area. Who do you think it would attract?”
Evie defended her decision on social media, claiming that “the doughnuts have brought in a whole new customer base” with customers dubbing them “the perfect present for Valentine’s Day”.
Since opening in Summer 2020, Jackson’s donut business has blossomed. Doe Bakehouse now spans across three stores across North Yorkshire.
Evie added that “it’s body positivity – if a child sees it, it’s just a body part.”

She was supported by her followers, with one user claiming that the person who complained is the “gatekeeper of York.”
The vulva-inspired donuts are available to pre-order for collection with hopes that they will be added to the company’s postal orders soon. The website can be accessed here.
