Here’s another title to add to York’s long list of honours.
The city has been voted the most beautiful city in Britain to photograph.
Research conducted by photo printing specialist CEWE found that York topped the list of the most photogenic cities, ahead of old rival Edinburgh, with Bath, London and Oxford completing the top five.
York Minster was named the tenth best landmark to snap – Stonehenge took first place.
Scarborough (11th), Robin Hood’s Bay (13th) and North York Moors Beach (19th) were all in the top 20 most photogenic locations.
St Michael’s Mount in Cornwall topped that list. Clare Moreton of CEWE said:
-
The UK is spoilt for choice when it comes to beauty spots, and this really comes across with our research.
From the stunning York bars walls, to the Cornwall coast and further afield, there’s so much choice and beautiful scenery that the UK has to offer. The hard bit now is choosing where to photograph first!
