A York village is once again holding a May Festival – in what will be a fun-packed day for all the family.
Following on from the great success of the last two years, Acaster Malbis have announced this year’s May Village Festival to take place on Saturday 18 May, in the fields behind the Ship Inn in the village.
The event aims to bring together all residents of the village, young and old, and will feature a varied line-up of live music, bar, food stalls, craft stalls, kids activities, mobile petting farm, historic vehicles, dog show, archery, axe throwing and more!

The festival is organised by Acaster Malbis Community Events, the village’s charitable organisation. Their nominated charity for 2024 is Lollipop, a local organisation that supports children, young people and families with deafness.
There will be music throughout the day and into the evening, with performances from the York Railway Institute Brass Band, New York Ukulele Band, Daytones Harmony Chorus, Bang Bang Bang, Love Generation, and the Reciprocals.
YorkMix Radio will also be there – along with Mixie the Monster!
Tickets for the festival are on sale now, with a discounted advance price online for £8. Tickets are £10 on the door, with under 14s going free.
