Get your dancing shoes shined, your vocal cords lubricated or your ventriloquist’s dummy varnished – Britain’s Got Talent is coming to York.
York Barbican will host an audition showcase for the next series of the star-making show on Wednesday (18 September).
It’s not the first time the BGT team have auditioned in York – but it is the first time the auditions have been held at the Barbican.
A spokesman for York Barbican said:
-
Whether you’re a sensational singer, majestic magician or the next big dance group, don’t miss your chance to take part in one of the biggest and most popular talent shows competition in the world.
Presented by Ant & Dec, and with judges including Simon Cowell and Amanda Holden, Britain’s Got Talent first aired on ITV in 2007 and has since become a global phenomenon, showing in countries across the world.
It has showcased household names such as dance group Diversity, opera-singing extraordinaire Paul Potts, and comedian Lost Voice Guy.
