North Yorkshire Police have arrested a 15-year-old boy from York as part of an investigation into racist hate crime in the city.
The latest incident took place on 22 June, at the tennis courts on Hull Road.
A large group of youths wearing balaclavas attacked two men with tennis rackets and sticks, while subjecting them to racist abuse.
The teenager was arrested on 26 June on suspicion of two racially aggravated assaults.
He has since been released on conditional police bail to allow for further enquiries to be carried out.
Officers have warned that further arrests are likely to follow in connection with this incident.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said:
