York stars on BBC One tonight – in a foodie flashback
York and some of its fabulous food producers will star on BBC One tonight (Monday).
It will be the focus of Food Fest England.
Presenters Sean Fletcher and Edith Bowman visited the York Food & Drink Festival in September, and even helped the Town Crier Ben Fry to open it.
Now the show they shot at the festival will be screened on BBC One in Yorkshire at 8.30pm tonight (Monday, 6 February).
The BBC blurb says: “Sean Fletcher and Edith Bowman go in search of tips and treats at the York Food Festival, including homemade hummus and the many surprising varieties of the English apple.
“Baker Briony-May Williams discovers how an app is reducing food waste and providing real bargains, and food journalist Leyla Kazim investigates how many people it takes to make a bag of crisps.”
