It will be business as usual at a York shopping park tomorrow (Saturday, 6 January) after a drainage problem was fixed.
We reported on Wednesday that a number of shops and cafés at Vangarde were affected by the issue.
The drains were failing to empty as they should. It led to the closure of the Prezzo and Estabulo restaurants.
Nearby, Caffè Nero, Costa Coffee, Mama Doreen’s and Nando’s were reduced to a takeaway service only. And while the main M&S stayed open, its café and toilets were closed.
Yorkshire Water started working on the problem two days ago, having discovered a fault at the pumping station. It was fixed today.
However some outlets could still only provide a reduced service owing to a lack of staff.
But a Vangarde spokesperson said all the shops and eating places would be back to full service on Saturday.
