York shop Avorium to host super sustainable sale – with items at just £1.
The personalised stationery and desk accessory shop at 13 Colliergate are hosting their first ever ‘Wonky Wednesday’, tomorrow, on Wednesday 19 March.
The day will see Avorium put their slightly-less-than-perfect products on sale for just £1 per item – whether that’s a personalised notebook with a misspelling or a coaster that’s picked up a scratch from being on display.
Though the products might not be perfect, they’re still ‘perfectly useable’ – and the sale aims to reduce waste as well as giving customers a great bargain.
Avorium opened their first shop on Colliergate, York, in November of 2021. Owned and run by sibling team Tom, Georgia and Olivia Calvert, they started their business to show that a desk doesn’t have to be boring.
The independent business specialises in pastel desk accessories and stationery – all of which can be personalised on the spot. Products include items like notebooks, mugs, coasters, pen pots, bookmarks, mousepads, and more.
They opened a second shop in Leeds Corn Exchange in April 2024, and are regulars at Christmas Markets all over the UK.
