York rail delays after vehicle crashes into bridge
There’s disruption for rail passengers from York today (Friday) after a vehicle hit a bridge on the route.
National Rail said at 11.41am: “A vehicle has struck a bridge between Leeds and York meaning all lines are blocked.
“As a result, trains may be delayed or cancelled.”

The problem is affecting Northern rail trains between York and Bridlington / Leeds / Sheffield / and Blackpool North.
And TransPennine Express trains between Newcastle, York and Scarborough.
The line was declared clear at midday, but disruption is expected until 1.30pm.
