A York pupil was involved in a road traffic accident shortly after the end of school on Friday (February 12).
The girl was in collision with a car on Huntington Road, outside Huntington School, as she made her way home for the start of the half term holiday.
Paramedics from York were called at 3.39pm to reports that a car had hit a female pedestrian.
The girl, said to be in Year 7 at Huntington School (11-12 years old), was taken to York Hospital by ambulance.
The police were called at about 3.45pm. A force spokeswoman said the girl had suffered minor injuries as the car involved had been travelling at a relatively slow speed.
