York man punched in the face in unprovoked attack
A man was punched in the face in an unprovoked attack in St Sampson’s Square, York.
The man, who lives locally and is aged in his 20s, was knocked to the ground by another man at around 3.20am on Friday (December 5) outside the shoe shop.
The victim did not require hospital treatment.
There were several people around at the time, including a woman who was seen walking behind the suspect and was then seen to join up with him further along Parliament Street.
Officers are appealing to her and to anyone else who was in the area at the time, to contact them.
