York public health leaders will answer your Covid questions this Thursday
With Covid rates high in the city due to the Omicron variant, people have a lot of questions about the best way to respond.
Now you can put those questions to a team that has the answers.
City of York Council is holding an #AskTheLeaders session live streamed on Facebook this Thursday (6 January) from 5.30 to 6.30pm.
Chaired by council leader Keith Aspden, the panel will also include:
- Cllr Carol Runciman, executive member for health and adult social care
- Sharon Stoltz, director of public health
- Andrew Lowson, executive director York BID
- Representative of Nimbuscare.
It’s a chance to ask any questions you might have about the latest public health measures, the situation in York and the rollout of the vaccine and booster programmes.
The event will be livestreamed on the council’s Facebook page, and a recording of the event will be available afterwards at the same link.
Viewers can ask their questions of the panel live in the comments section on the livestream, or submit them in advance by email to [email protected].
Public health director Sharon Stoltz said: “With case numbers rising rapidly in the city it’s more important than ever that we have the opportunity to cut through the noise, and give people the information they need.
“I would encourage anyone with questions to watch the session live, or submit them in advance by email.”
