The popular York Open Studios is back for 2021 and they’re celebrating a special anniversary…
They have been championing creativity, originality and diversity for 20 years – and they’re not stopping now.
They will be welcoming visitors on two weekends this month, 10 and 11 July, and 17 and 18 July 2021.
Over 140 artists and makers will be showing and selling their work within their homes and workspaces.

The artists will continue to adhere to Government guidelines to ensure the safety of themselves and visitors.
Diverse range of artists and makers
Beccy Ridsdel, one of the committee members and an artist in her own right, said: “After last year’s postponement, we think this year’s 20th show is one of the best.
“Artists and makers bring a diverse range of skills to the weekends producing bespoke ceramics, furniture, glass, jewellery, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, textiles, wood carving and multi-media.
“It’s a fabulous way too to enjoy York and view extraordinary work.”

This year, the artists will be included on a map of the city so visitors can easily make their way to as many studios, workshops and homes as they choose.
