A trial date has been set for two murder suspects accused of killing a 72-year-old man in York.
Jason Holdgate, 32, and Nicola Anne Beck, 42, were arrested and charged with murder after police discovered the man’s body at a property in Whitethorn Close, Huntington on Monday, 4 November.
They appeared at Leeds Crown Court today when judge Guy Keal adjourned the case for a plea-and-trial-preparation hearing on Friday, 13 December.
He set a provisional trial date of 27 May next year. The trial is expected to last up to 10 days.
Neither defendant has yet entered pleas to the murder charge and a separate allegation of vehicle theft.
Mr Holdgate, of Whitethorn Close, York, and Ms Beck, of no fixed address, were remanded in custody.
