A security guard at York McDonald’s was hurt in a late-night incident and had to be taken to hospital for treatment.
The man suffered facial injuries in an alleged assault on Blake Street just before midnight on Saturday (8 July).
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “A 47-year-old man from the Wakefield area of West Yorkshire was arrested on suspicion of assault.
“Following questioning, he was released under investigation while police enquiries continue.”
