A man suffered a very painful injury in York last night (Tuesday).
Emergency services were called after he got a six-inch nail embedded in his shin.
Paramedics called a fire crew from Acomb to assist with the incident, in Nether Poppleton at 6.23pm.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews used a reciprocating saw and bolt croppers.
“The male was then taken to hospital for further treatment.”
