Police are appealing for witnesses and information about an incident of suspected arson at a York library.
Tang Hall Explore, the library based inside The Centre @ Burnholme, was targeted, officers believe.
An area outside of the building was damaged by fire.
The incident took place some time between 3pm on Saturday (27 February) and 8.30am on Monday (1 March).
A North Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: “We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
“In particular, we are appealing for information about anyone who was seen in the area or who saw the fire.”
