A fire has badly damaged a bedroom in a York house.
Firefighters from York, Huntington and Acomb responded to reports of the blaze in Troutbeck at 7.56pm on Monday night (April 30).
They put out the fire in the bedroom. The room was extensively damaged, and the rest of the first floor was smoke logged.
North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service said no one was inside the house and a neighbour contacted them.
After extinguishing the fire, crews used a ventilation fan to rid the property of smoke.
