A York hotel has been voted as one of the best in the UK.
No. 1 by GuestHouse, York, has been featured in Conde Nast Traveller’s Readers’ Choice Awards for 2024.
The hotel on Clifton has been voted to be one of the best hotels in the UK (excluding London), and placed 20th on the list out of 35 with an average satisfaction score of 96.98.
No. 1 by GuestHouse is the only hotel in York to receive the Reader’s Choice accolade.

No. 1 is a Grade II listed regency townhouse that’s located just a 10-minute walk from York Minster. The hotel has 38 bedrooms spread across three floors, and is home to the Pearly Cow restaurant that ‘serves the best produce from land and sea’.
The hotel also has options for afternoon tea and cocktails, and features a spa that offers bespoke therapies.
