York has the best restaurant in Yorkshire.
And it has the finest tourism team in the county, according to the judges of the White Rose Awards.
The awards recognise the stars in Yorkshire’s tourism industry from arts and culture to events and attractions, accommodation, food and drink.
Skosh on Micklegate was named Restaurant of the Year.

Oliver Medforth (Yorkshire Tonic), Harry Gration (BBC Look North)

The award comes a year after Neil Bentinck and his team took the same title at the Yorkshire Life awards.
Neil tweeted: “Only gone and done it! Amazing achievement for myself and the whole team at Skosh! Well done everyone.”
And York Maze took the Outstanding Customer Service Award.
“I am so immensely proud of each and every member of the York Maze team who go out of their way to ensure our visitors have an amazing day out,” said the attraction’s owner Tom Pearcy.
Also on the night Haxby Bakehouse picked up a highly commended in the best producer / maker section.
Kim-Joy was there

More than a thousand-people were at the Harrogate Convention Centre to find out the winners of the 17 hotly contested awards.
Among those presenting an award was Kim-Joy from The Great British Bake Off, who lives between York and Leeds.
Guests also saw England Manager Gareth Southgate be named an ‘Honorary Yorkshireman’ in recognition of his achievements with the England team at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Born in Watford, he has lived near Harrogate for almost 20 years.
