York Sport Village has reopened it’s doors today (Wednesday) after an extensive refurbishment project than took place throughout July.
The Heslington based gym, popular amongst both locals and students, has made a significant investment in its facilities after closing for 16 days.
The changes include a brand-new gym, a state-of-the-art group cycling studio, and a modern café.
Through customer feedback and equipment usage surveys, a growing trend towards weight based training was recognised.
In response, York Sport collaborated with fitness equipment provider Technogym, an official supporter of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, to redesign the gym and install new bikes for the cycle studio.
Members can expect advanced machines, including the latest cardio equipment, innovative technology and features that are “designed to keep you entertained throughout your workout”.
