As the firefighters themselves say, “it’s not just fires”.
They are called out to deal with all sorts of crises. And last night in York they attended an emergency at the less critical end of the scale.
At 8.02pm, a call came in to Acomb Fire Station that someone was stuck in a baby swing.
A crew ‘swung’ into action immediately, and headed to the children’s play area off Foxwood Lane.
There they found… well, we’ll let North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service take up the story.
“Acomb attended an incident involving a 16 year old female who had got herself stuck in a baby swing at a children’s play park. Crews released the female uninjured and gave advice.”
All in night’s work for the team…
