Firefighters rescued a deer this morning (Sunday).
It had become trapped in a slurry pit in York and was in danger of drowning.
Crews from York and Malton were called in to help at 10.26am.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews from Malton and York attended a location where a deer had fallen into a slurry pit.
“Crews used the inflatable walkway and ropes to rescue the deer and released it back into the wild.”
